To strengthen our sustainability team in Munich, we are looking for you to join us as soon as possible as a Sustainability Manager / ESG-Manager (m/f/d).
Your responsibilities
- Further development of the sustainability strategy and promotion of a sustainability-driven corporate culture
- Analysis and evaluation of global sustainability trends and identification of strategic fields of action
- Translation of regulatory requirements (including PPWR, DPP, and ESPR) into practical and commercially viable solutions
- Management and continuous improvement of sustainability reporting in accordance with the VSME standard, including the preparation of corporate and product carbon footprints (CCF/PCF) in line with the GHG Protocol, as well as the management of relevant sustainability ratings and certifications (e.g. EcoVadis)
- Planning, managing, and implementing cross-functional sustainability projects with a focus on circular economy initiatives and sustainable packaging solutions
- Primary point of contact for customers, suppliers, investors, auditors, and other stakeholders on all relevant sustainability topics
Your profile
- Successfully completed degree in Sustainability Management, Environmental Management, Business Administration, Engineering, Natural Sciences, or a comparable field of study
- Several years of professional experience in sustainability or ESG management, or a related discipline
- Strong knowledge of sustainability reporting (CSRD/VSME), carbon accounting (CCF/PCF), and relevant regulatory requirements (including PPWR and DPP)
- Experience in project management and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to work confidently with data, KPIs, and complex interrelationships
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a confident professional presence and fluency in both German and English
